Jeanne Faulkner
Senior Writer, Every Mother Counts
Jeanne is a writer, journalist and registered nurse with over 20 years experience in obstetrics and maternal-newborn health. She’s been at the bedside and in delivery rooms for thousands of births. She writes Ask the Labor Nurse for Fit Pregnancy Magazine online, an advice and education blog about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting,which won MIN-Online’s Best Blog of 2012 award. She contributes regularly to Fit Pregnancy magazine, writes for QualityHealth.com and contributes to Huffington Post on global health and poverty issues. Her work has appeared in Shape, Better Homes and Gardens, MyRegence.com, the Oregonian newspaper and countless websites. Her book, The Complete Illustrated Childbirth Companion (Quayside Publishing, 2012) will be released this fall. She is CARE’s advocacy chairperson for Oregon. Jeanne studied nursing at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center School of Nursing.
