Summer of Sisterhood: Ava and Bella's Lemonade Stand, Boulder, CO

I learned about Every Mother Counts from my friend and neighbor, Kathy Van Buskirk, and have been following this wonderful organization's activities over the past months.  I love the Summer Bucket List and thought a lemonade stand the perfect way for my daughters and I to take action for EMC.  Ava (6) and Bella (4) are lemonade stand aficionados by this point (I've drunk more watered down, warm lemonade over the past several years than is probably healthy), and were very enthusiastic about doing a summer project with a purpose.  It didn't hurt that colored markers, flower drawing and posing for pictures was involved!  I talked about the mission of EMC with the girls and even though maternal mortality is a topic that could be a little intimidating, they got the fact that every Mom should be able to have a healthy baby and be safe while delivering.
