ONE

Cofounded by Bono and other campaigners, ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African policy makers and activists. ONE achieves change through advocacy, holding world leaders to account for the commitments they've made to fight extreme poverty. ONE campaigns for better development policies, more effective aid and trade reform, and also supports greater democracy, accountability and transparency to ensure policies to beat poverty are implemented effectively.

Women ONE2ONE is a campaign to improve the lives of women living in extreme poverty by increasing access to education, economic opportunity and protection from preventable, treatable diseases. As mediators, connectors and advocates, we believe in the power of women to make this change.  We know that maternal health, girls' education, economic opportunity and women's empowerment are key to fighting poverty and preventable disease. Our campaign recognizes women as change-makers, community-builders and solution-seekers.

Together, we will harness our power to connect, take action and shape the future. We will raise awareness of how poverty and preventable disease affect women, apply pressure during key political moments and lay out the remaining challenges and steps needed to accelerate action. We’ll report on what's working and push for policies central to empowering women worldwide.

Our goal is to recruit more than one million women in the fight against poverty and preventable disease. Together we can go beyond and achieve real change.
